Search on for 100 new carers at recruitment open day

One hundred new carers are needed to help keep the elderly and vulnerable at home in Wales and we are hosting a recruitment event for people looking to help make a difference (August, 2019).

Our staff will be at Conwy Business Centre at Junction Way in Llandudno on September 9 from 9am until 4pm to meet potential candidates and chat to them about a career in care.

It’s vital people who wish to remain living at home are able to do so. Evidence suggests those who do have a better and more fulfilling life as they are surrounded by their own things, family, friends and even pets. So, a role as a homecare worker really enhances the lives of others and prolongs it too.

We’re really excited to be hosting this recruitment day and meeting people in the area who might be interested in working with us. We’re looking to expand our workforce by 100 new carers across Bangor, Rhyl, Kimnel Bay, Abergele and Colwyn Bay and we’re inviting people to make an appointment to come and speak with one of our qualified staff members about what being a carer entails and what a typical day in the life of a carer looks like.

It’s a great opportunity to chat with someone who already has experience in the field. Anyone is welcome to come along and people shouldn’t worry if they have no formal qualifications as we provide full training free of charge and can even chat to potential candidates about the opportunities they will have for career advancement in the role.

We’re looking for kind, honest, caring and reliable individuals who wish to have a stable and long-term career in care, and who would like to forge rewarding relationships with the service users they care for.

Being a carer is a highly skilled, professional vocational occupation that is essential to the fabric of our society and the beauty of a job for life means people can start by training with us and work their way up the career ladder gaining further training and qualifications. Our free, full training includes a company induction, first aid, information on dementia, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users, with the opportunity to achieve Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) after the initial three months probationary period.

New recruits are given free uniforms, access to national staff discount scheme for all major brands as well as 28 days paid holiday, paid travel between calls and paid mileage.
