Festive shoebox appeal for the elderly

posted in: News | 0

It’s that time of year again when we ask the generous people of Wales to get behind our festive shoebox appeal. It has been extremely successful in the past, so we have decided to continue it again this year.

We’re asking you to fill a shoebox with essentials and other bits and pieces that you think would really help brighten someone’s day. We would suggest hats, scarves, slippers, toiletries, books and something a bit more festive and fun for Christmas.

All of the boxes donated will be evenly distributed among our elderly service users and we’re sure it will really help brighten their day.

Any shoeboxes can be dropped off or sent to our offices in Bangor at 9, Ash Court, Parc Menai, Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 4DF.

Alternatively, if you’re in the Newtown area, boxes can be sent to St David’s House, New Street, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1RB.

If you’re in Rhondda Cynon Taf and would like to donate a shoebox, you can send it to our offices at Ty Cynon, Navigation Park, Abercynon, Rhondda Cynon Taf, CF45 4SN and those in Ystradgynlais can drop off or post boxes to Unit 300, Ystradgynlais Business Centre, Trawsffordd Road, Ystradgynlais, Powys, SA9 1BS.

The deadline for boxes to be sent is Friday, December 14.
